Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg today issued the following statement:
“I spoke yesterday with Constable McCain and he is completing his investigation of the incident
involving Deputy Constable Christopher Bieze during a traffic stop on Texas Highway 71 last month.
My office will review the matter, as we do all incidents involving use of force by law enforcement
officers, for possible presentation to a Travis County Grand Jury. Our review will begin as soon
as possible.”
